Use student learning evidence and feedback to improve practice. Contribute to team meetings, curriculum development, and the implementation of the Major Learning Plan.
Teaching and learning
Plan and teach DP Physics at the assigned level in line with the applicable IB subject guide. Build conceptual understanding, scientific inquiry, experimental skills, mathematical modeling, and analysis of evidence through clear explanations, practical work, and purposeful problem-solving.
Teach assigned high school mathematics courses using the approved curriculum and standards. Develop reasoning, fluency, representation, and real-world application. If assigned DP Mathematics, plan and assess the confirmed course and level in line with the applicable IB guide.
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and give useful feedback. Apply school and IB assessment expectations accurately, prepare students for examinations, maintain records and the approved online gradebook, and provide evidence-based predicted grades when required.
Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including students developing English proficiency. Support academic language, student agency, and the DAS 5Cs; collaborate with student support staff to implement agreed plans.
Plan and supervise safe practical work. Check apparatus, carry out required risk assessments, maintain appropriate laboratory routines and records, and coordinate equipment and resource needs with school leadership.

Apply assessment criteria consistently and coordinate deadlines and submissions with the DP Coordinator. Support mathematical exploration if DP Mathematics is assigned.
Contribute to the collaborative sciences project and connections with Theory of Knowledge. Supervise relevant extended essays and undertake advisory or other DP responsibilities when assigned and within appropriate subject expertise.
Students and school culture
Know students as individuals and build a respectful, inclusive classroom that supports belonging, emotional safety, curiosity, and appropriately high expectations for learning and behavior.
Maintain clear routines, accurate attendance, punctuality, and active supervision. Apply agreed behavior procedures, document concerns, and seek support from Secondary School leadership when needed.
Follow safeguarding, professional boundaries, health and safety, and incident reporting procedures. Report concerns promptly through designated school processes and maintain confidentiality.
Family and community relationships
